1. LIVESTREAM UKRAINIAN RIOTS [Ustream]
Between the riots, 3 deaths, sudden makeshift laws, and cellphone tappings, the whole situation can be a little hard to follow. Besides the surreal-ness of being able to watch it unfold live, click [here] to read the fully story…

2. BIEBER ARRESTED [LAtimes]
The only reason I’m mentioning this, is to hopefully help more people understand how useless it is to pay attention to this guy! Don’t be a dick and hate him because you think his music sucks…be informed and stop paying into his adolescent million dollar pitty party. I get it, he’s trying to break free of his cookie cutter popstar persona…by becoming the next member of the NWA? He’s not “cute” anymore, and he certainly isn’t “hard”…now he’s just an annoying drug pusher (who’s using YOUR money to feed his illegal binges).

3. MOCKINGJAY POSTER [FilmThrasher]
To lighten things up, here’s the first official release from Lionsgate of the next HungerGames movie…the third book…being split into a two-part film.

1. KONY CAMPAIGN CAUSES RIOT [AcholiTimes]
Invisible Children screened their viral video in the Ugandan town of Gulu…needless to say the locals weren’t fond of having their lives summed in that fashion. Many injured, one killed.

2. NO ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT FOR CANADA [NationalPost]
The 4th Season will not be available on Netflix to anyone outside of the US :( we’ll have to wait for the DVD…

3. COMMUNITY PORTALS [Video]
Someone was able to get a tutorial up on how to use Valve’s new Community Test Chambers initiative online!

4. TOP 50 AVENGERS [IGN]
In anticipation for this weekends release, the kings of nerd have released their favorite members of the worlds finest (and most of you probably thought there were only 6 of them hahaha)

Coffee & Multitasking v.84

1. OCCUPY…EVERYTHING!
The Occupy Wallstreet movement is expanding. People of the world are realizing that things can’t stay the way they are. The rich can’t continue to rule us.
72 American cities are now involved [BuzzFeed]
Overseas, Britain has joined the movement [msnbc.com]
There’s even a scheduled rally where I live [OccupyWpg]
And whispers of another scheduled full blown riot in London…STAY INFORMED

2. THE AVENGERS TRAILER IS ONLINE [apple.com]
I’m speechless, and will obviously post it when I find an embed code.

3. DRAGON AGE EPI 1 [Machinima]
The first Episode of DA:Redemption (starring Felicia Day) is finally here!

I can’t believe it’s still going on! Whatever the point was has long been lost, and people have simply turned to the way of chaos. Sickens me.

I guess things really picked up after I went to sleep…
It’s just a hockey game. I just don’t understand. Why destroy the city you were just cheering for? Why set cars on fire? Why break into and loot buildings? I just don’t understand…

At first I was angry; at the drunk morons who don’t know when to shut up, then scared; at horrific it looks to see a crowd that large screaming for destruction, and now I’m just sad. I mean, if this is the kind’ve chaos that ensues from a simple hockey game…what could happen when something actually important goes wrong?

Jeremy H from Comeback Kid tweeted; “It’s embarrassing to be from a country that has all it needs, & riots over sports when you look around & see why other countries are rioting” @jeremyhiebert

[this page] IS TRYING TO COLLECT AS MUCH INFO, PICS, AND VIDEOS IN ORDER TO HELP POLICE ID THE IDIOTS RESPONSIBLE, AS WELL AS PROTECT THOSE THAT JUST GOT CAUGHT IN THE MADNESS. Help spread the word and put the rioters behind bars.

Students in London Riot Over Rise in Tuitions
Have you been following this situation? The particular story surrounding this picture is a few days old (this riot happened on 09.12.10) but things have been escalating over the past few weeks. Last week I read an article that showed how students were using Google maps to coordinate movement, point out police barricades, and plot walking courses. Now it seems they’ve finally had enough…
So why am I talking about this???
This is an injustice that should affect all of us. Think about it, a bill was passed to raise tuition fee’s for college students from roughly 3000GBP to 9000GBP without input from the general student population. To put it into more real terms; I am currently paying roughly $4000 a semester, it would be like the Manitoba government changing that into $12,000!

It really moves me that these students gathered and got right up to Parliament to fight for their rites. Granted, there will always be the few in a crowd that have to cause trouble, however I’m proud of a group of young people literally fighting for their ability to learn! They even got close enough to Prince Charles to break his car window - if that happened in the USA a lot of people would have been shot on sight…

Did they go too far?As crazy as it got, I still think the extremeness of the situation proves something amazing about this group of students. It also shows the incompetence of (some) our older generation and their lust for money. It ALSO shows that no matter what, there will always be a few morons. But put yourself in their shoes - what would YOU do if they raised your tuition so drastically? I couldn’t help but think what would happen to my small Bible college out in the middle of nowhere. We wouldn’t have the ability to travel somewhere to protest, but we wouldn’t have the ability to fight it where we currently are. I think, for the most part, the majority of college students here (myself included) would be forced to dropout and go back to remedial jobs to survive…

In the end I think this picture sums it up nicely…A spray bombed sign from the younger generation pleading with the money grubbing older generation to let them spread their wings.Education is a wonderful thing, the ability to learn and grow is a gift, never let anyone or anything stop you from growing!
