They have one more tour, and an Anthology album, and then one of my favorite bands of all time is calling it quits…today is one of those days that the internet would say is full of “the feels”
“FOUNDATION” by FOR TODAY
This is where I’ve wanted Christian music videos to finally get to; a place where they are unafraid to create something that’s more than just the band lip syncing to pretty words. I want to see something powerful, meaningful, a reflection of how society treats us. Persecuted but not destroyed. Looked down upon but not ashamed.
The internet has become a place full of religious hate (and that goes both ways…) and I think it’s time that Christians not only declare a message of love, but a clear indication that we don’t care what the popular opinion is!
LMFAO have split up!!!
My day just went from good to stupendous :D Even though they technically said they “just want to do what’s natural” I have faith that the natural order of life is to not have their trash in my ears ever again…
SPOKEN live at THE BUNKER
[August 27, 2012]
WORK w/ SPOKEN [x]
I’ve been listening to them for over a decade, basically since I first got involved at The Bunker. They were spiritual mentors in more than just a “I love their lyrics” kinda way…their connection to our community has always been an inspiration. And when I started working as a promoter I always dreamed of putting on a show with them…so last night was dream come true as cheesy as that sounds!
A huge thank you to everyone that came out to show support - showing up at the door isn’t just money to pay for the event (and help the bands) but it’s a sign of respect, love, and support to everyone at The Bunker, the bands, their families, and everyone else involved in these kinds of things.
I love that Winkler still has a strong connection to Matt and the boys…they WILL be back!

It’s with a heavy heart that I post this…but I know that these guys have their heads on straight.
I remember going to one of the first SH shows, with my buddies in Endless Fight, and freaking out over how a highschool band from MB could be that good! My friends and I have always thought, that if a group of local musicians were to ever deserve a record contract, it’d be these guys. Bands these days don’t work as hard as they have, or show has much heart as they do. They have been such an inspiration to not just the metal scene, but to many different bands and promoters such as myself.
I really really hope we can get them into The Bunker for one of those farewell shows…
ELESSAR @ GAVIN/FALLONS ‘SHOWCIAL’
He did a Jack Johnson cover!!!
IN CASED YOU MISSED IT!!!
Further Seems Forever, one of my favorite bands and you could say one of those most influential bands in the indie scene (if you look at the overall success of members, offshoots, and sideprojects) has just signed to Rise Records - as of August 2nd, 2012.
AND they are releasing a new album this October WITH original front man (and the magic behind Dashboard Confessional) Chris Carrabba!
This is such an awesome excuse to bust out my old FF and DC albums!
Why is this such a big deal???
Because they quit! And now they’re back!
We haven’t seen a new album from these guys in eight years! AND since starting (with Carrabba) they have cycled through a total of three singers! It’s so nice to see him put Dashboard aside and pick up his original strings :)
