I’m a little slow on this one, give me a break works been busy…
1. XBOX ONE-80 [TIME.com]
Just like I said would happen, Microsoft has gone back on it’s initial word with regards to the rules and regulations put in play at this years E3. All that DRM and 24hr online nonsense that everyone was freaking out about is gone; basically it just runs like a 360 now.

X-Men:DoFP - May, 2014
Dawn ofthe Planet ofthe Apes - July, 2014
Assassin’s Creed - June, 2015
ID2 - July, 2015
That’s not even including ALL of Marvel/DC’s releases, sooo needless to say we’re all going to be a lot more destitute.
3. INSTAVID [Mashable.com]
Fbook/IG just slapped Twitter/Vine in the face with longer vids that you can edit on the fly! I’m posting this to get an opinion: should I stay with my Vine (where I already have a substantial presence) or switch over? What are YOU using?

Yesterday “Simpsons” creator Matt Groening finally revealed the location of his beloved town of Springfield…
1. KANDAHAR MASSACRE [BBC.uk]
A rogue US soldier assassinated (and burned) 16 civi’s in their homes, 9 of which were children…why is military presence still being supported???

6. RIP MOEBIUS [i09.com]
This happened last week, but still, legendary work that needs to be remembered…
1. SAM RAIMI REMAKES
Two movies set for quasi-remakes from the Director of the original SpiderMan movies are OZ: The Great and Powerful (from The Wizard of Oz story) and The Evil Dead (with Bruce Campbell on board!!!)
2. ‘AMAZING’ PHOTOSHOOT
Did I say “original” SpiderMan movies before? Oh yeah, that’s because the remake entitled Amazing SpiderMan just released a ton of new photo updates to EWzine. I like the look of Gwen and Peter in this one…but still not impressed.
3. FARRELL + AHHHNOLD
In the remake of 1990’s Total Recall, Colin Farrell will be reprising the role made famous by none other than Arnold Schwarzeneger. I loved this movie, I love Farrell, and it’s good to see him finally back in a decent role.
Oh yeah and that Harry Potter movie comes out tonight at midnight…
1. WOMEN’S FIFA
Germany 2011; just as entertaining as the Men’s was, go England!
Reports are stating that the new iPod Touch will have 3G capabilities, much like the iPad. Team that up with communication Apps like Skype or Kik and you’re looking at the end of talk ‘n text contracts!
3. R.I.P. AKIRA LIVE
Finally, some good news about a Hollywood-remake. First the director walked away, now the designer is making his distaste for the live-action-Americanized-anime.
4. R.I.P. CURSIVE
Apparently US schools will be abolishing lessons on cursive hand writing, and replacing them with computer typing skills. Thus is the way of the future…
Grade1 was an important year for me; I started wearing glasses, I made a sweet laminated-poster with 20 different dinosaurs on it, I took a test that determined I understood the English language at a 10th grade level, and I was also diagnosed with ADD (attention deficit disorder). The doctors promptly placed me on a hefty dose of Ritalin to calm me down and make me manageable. By Grade4 I had been up’d to ADHD (attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder) and given more pills. In Grade6 my pill dosage was up’d once again, and by Grade7 I made the decision to toss the pills, hoop the doctors, and take on life using my own abilities…
Since then I have become an “A” average college student, youth ministry leader, and successful concert coordinator. Take that Ritalin.
Where else do we see such constant need to pump people full of attention-control?
Assassin’s Creed: 8 games in 4 years, 2 more in the next 2 years, 4 of which are major console releases (don’t forget the film+animated shorts).
Call of Duty: 14 games, 1 more coming, plus a comic book series. They’ve made it clear they want to release one game every year…
James Bond: 23 games, 22 movies (1 more next year) with 4 offshoots. Daniel Craig has stated he wants to sign a contract in order to release a Bond film every other year, with a new book to coincide every off-year.
Spider Man (movies): They’re rebooting a movie trilogy that isn’t even five years old yet!
Batman (movies): 7 movies spanning 2 different franchises, and DC has stated they’ll still reboot it a third time once Nolan has walked away.
So why is it that entertainment companies feel the need to constantly pump new and “fresh” visions of the same old crap down our throats on such a regular basis? Don’t get me wrong, I love Bond, SpiderMan, and Batman…but ACreed was ruined for me, and CoD has belittled the video game experience (in my opinion).
I guess the better question is, why do we keep falling for this? Why has our society accepted companies constant need for attention. Why are we okay with spending more and more money on products whose quality is going down while quantity goes up? Here’s some homework; go check out Valve and their “Half Life” series…you’ll see what I mean.
What does this have to do with Ritalin? Think of the doctors/teachers as being Hollywood or Ubisoft. They control your attention by constantly up’ing the dosage of their product…
1. NATIONAL HIGH FIVE DAY!!!
Today couldn’t get any better :) not only is it finally the day Fall In Archaea comes to The Bunker, but now we can celebrate it in style (by slapping the wads of meat at the ends of our arms into each other!)
2. R.I.P. PSP “GO”
So many pieces of tech being killed off to make way for the newer, shinier upgrades…it’s like the movie “Robots”.
With Sony working to have it’s PSP games available on certain smartphones, this makes sense, but this did just come out a few months ago.
3. “THE CROW” REMAKE
If you haven’t heard already, Bradley Cooper (the Hangover) has been slated to play the lead role in what will undoubtedly be a very Hollywood-ized remake of the cult-classic starring Branden Lee. WELL now the the Weinstein Bro’s have stepped to our rescue and filed a lawsuit against the remakers and I say good for them!
Another day full of movie news…
1. WOLVERINE 2
First he announced the title; [The Wolverine] and now director Aronofsky has backed out of the project, leaving it in limbo. [full story]
Lemme just say that I still think giving Hugh Jackman his own movie to play with the character is the right move. It lets Wolvie break free of the babysitting gig he got stuck with in the X-Men films.
2. SUPERMAN REBOOT
Director Zack Snyder announced that his new movie about “the man of steel” will not have anything to do with previous films. Stating that he wants to completely redo the superhero in movies. [full story]
I stopped caring about Superman after the originals, and even though I liked “Returns” I just don’t see Supe’s as being a movie-hero.
3. UNDERWORLD 4
The first photos of Kate Beckinsale on-set have been released…stoked! [photos]
4. R.I.P. MICHAEL GOUGH
Dead at the age of 94, Gough was best known as the original Alfred from Tim Burtons “Batman” films. [full story]
Though Nolan’s Alfred is funnier, Gough brought more class to the story.
So, apparently Charlie Sheen has been in the news lately………….*cough*…
I had someone ask me why I haven’t been posting anything about the craziness that’s been happening over the past few weeks; Sheen’s crazy parties, being kicked off the show, suing CBS, Two & A Half Men finally being cancelled, Sheen starting a Twitter account, “the goddesses”, Sober Valley Lodge, his tweet-off against Roger Ebert, and now his new Ustream “show”…*phew*.
Reason being, I think it’s all retarded. Once again North American pop-culture is celebrating someone ruining their life with drugs abuse. All that stuff about him turning his house into a resort, the three-way relationship with two pornstars, and most blatantly his Twitter account, are all publicity stunts…and we’re all willingly falling for it. In the past when someone gets as messed up as he has, and does/says the stupid things he’s done/said they’re booted from whatever show their on, hopefully get help, and that’s that. But for some reason we’ve allowed him to force his crazy-antics into our lives, which forces me to ask what consequences did this have on the rest of the Two & A Half Men staff?
Here’s a guy that was being paid $1.8mil a WEEK, and is now destroying not only his credibility but also his humanity. I watched the first episode of what is being called “Sheen’s Corner” his proposed new talk show on Ustream, and yeah, I felt like I was watching a guy whose brain has been fried by drugs. To me this isn’t funny; I’ve seen first hand the effects drugs can negatively have on people, and I’m seeing it being celebrated in him!
If you want to see what I mean, here’s a link…

Guyism.com is calling him the “essential self-contained man” bragging that he has achieved popularity “orbit” by not needing a gimmick/movie/show to keep him in the public eye. I think that’s sick; yes he has women, money, a huge house, and “fame” but it’s all at the expense of his family, career, health (have you seen the guy lately), and moral standing. Gawker puts it nicely, saying that if he’s telling the truth that he’s not on drugs anymore (riiiight) then he’s literally insane. However it’s most likely that this is drug induced, and when it fades it will be one heck of a rude awakening!
Check out Gawker’s take on how “creepy” this all is…

I don’t HATE Charlie Sheen, in fact I’ve loved everything he’s starred in. What I’m not a fan of is our societies obsession with watching people fail…
I had to miss last night’s Oscar event, which I was genuinely bummed about because I really enjoy both James Franco and Ann Hathaway. However today I’ve noticed that no one was impressed with not only their performance, but the entire spectacle seemed to be viewed as “boring”.
Here are a myriad of links that tore apart just about everything from Franco’s demeanor, to Hathaway’s humor (but mostly how “off” Franco was) enjoy.
1. Edward Norton no longer The Hulk
Marvel announced they will not be bringing back Norton to play Bruce Banner in the new Avengers movie.

2. Transformers 3 = The End
Reports are saying that Michael Bay and his team will not be hopping back into the Autobots once the third movie is finished. IGN is sad about this…I’m pretty stoked. Bay destroyed what was supposed to be one of the biggest movies of all time (for fanboys and geeks).

3. SNES games on the iPad
I seriously want to try this, but am scared of what could happen by jailbreaking my iPad :S
