So I deleted my DrawSomething…

It was fun while it lasted, but after getting the same picture time after time after time, and spending more time drawing on an App instead of in my sketchbook…I’ve decided to let it go. 

Above are some of what I consider my “best” haha :P

“A Modern Wonder” by NrrdCakke This just came in the mail *w00t*  I’ve been trying to indulge my artistic side over the past few weeks. Pushing myself to draw more, experimenting with paint and shading techniques, sharing more of what I do, and getting into other artists stuff! Longboard artwork for a friend…

- Oriental/surfer vibe…since it’s the closest he’ll get to shredding waves in the prairies.
- “Death Before Decaf” in banners…he runs a coffee shop.
- Had to go with a different wood-finish that caused the ink to bleed slightly :(
- Kept a simple black line artwork instead of color because I really like the woodgrain, and wanted to keep that as the focus of the board.

In the end he gave me free reign to challenge myself with something new. I’m not happy the ink bled, but what’s done is done. Myself and the customer are both happy with the design…and that’s what matters!

Finally had a day off to work on some designs… I was asked to do the cover art for a local bands album, and a friends business is looking to make some sweet hoodies! Sooo after I was done I had some spare time to ink a personal project I’ve been meaning to finish :)

The *NEW* Jonny’s Java [mainstreet] Location!!!

My friends (Buddy Jeff, Abomb, and JP) have taken their coffee business from it’s small starts in their basements, to now owning/operating TWO locations in the city of Winkler, MB. I am so proud of these guys, the new building is gor-gee-ous with a really clean yet strong feel to it.
Counters of solid-poured concrete, stabilized by massive chunks of raw wood. The mezzanine overlooking Main Street is surrounded by flat-black painted steel rails and girders, topped with a really gothic style chandelier. And yes there is an Apple Resale store attached…nothing but bonuses!

Would you wear this? Should we make other items of clothing?
