4. TWITTER UPDATE [Gizmodo]
Have you checked out the facelift (if you don’t use it on your phone)? They’ve implemented smoother ways of including things like pics and videos in your tweets. They also installed a timeline…hmm a lot of networks seem to be doing that lately…

THE “LATE” EDITION
Sorry, I’ve been busy with things like school, work, concerts, editing, Gears 3, and oh my gosh have you seen Terra Nova yet??! So…here’s my attempt to share what’s been in my browser this week.
SCIENCE:
Time Travel [telegraph.uk]
Seems that the good folks at CERN (makers of the Hadron Collider) have found a way to travel faster than the speed of light. Which means you’ll be able to wear your new BttF Nike “Mags” in your sweet time hopping Delorian!
Seeing Dreams [slatest.com]
Researchers at Berkeley have figured out how to recreate digital images mapped from the brain, in hopes of one day being able to turn dreams into video!
CULTURE:
Wall Street Occupation [dailywhat]
I don’t know the whole story, but I do know that when peaceful demonstrators are abused by corrupted cops, the story needs to be spread. Stay informed!
COMICS:
DC Comixxx [i09.com] [aishiteru]
Along with the reboot of their entire comicbook franchise came new beefed up version of men like Superman and Greenlantern, however, the women (like Catwoman and Starfire) were turned into sex-craved, half naked, straight up slutty versions of their former selves…and the geekdom is furious!
Walking Dead Teaser[i09.com]
A new photo gallery has gone up showing off all the lovely characters of Season 2.
TECH:
Kindle Tablet [gizmodo]
The new Kindle “Fire” is something that (imo) presents a decent rival for the iPad.

BEHIND THE SCENES Edition
1. BATMAN 3 [mtv.com]
I gotta be honest with you internet…so far Nolan isn’t making me excited for this movie. The title is uninspired, Catwoman looks boring, I don’t like Bane in general as a character, and I just…can’t…figure out…the Batwing…
2. AVENGERS [ign.com]
Tons if pics have been leaked by, get this, a medical company whose office is right beside the set where most of the films shooting is taking place. Spies everywhere!
3. GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO [*pcb]
I love who they’ve chosen for nearly all these characters, and love that they brought back Stellan (who originally played Mikael - now played by Daniel) but oh my goodness gracious what have they done to Lisbeth!!???
4. TERRA NOVA [nymag.com]
My most anticipated show this season keeps getting better. Click the link to watch some behind the scenes interviews on how the village has been setup!

FIRST LOOK Edition
1. G.I.JOE ROCKS [*PCB]
Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” has signed up as Roadblock for GIJ2
2. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT BATTLESHIP [/film]
Rihanna is apparently starring as a naval officer…
3. CAT-BIKE [JustJared]
The first setshot of Hathaway as Catwoman has been released, I think it looks good!
4. AMAZING SPIDERMAN2??? [/film]
Sony is so impressed with their ability to make money script, that they’ve already set a date (2014) for the next instalment in the newly-rebooted-comic-to-movie-franchise.
GREEN LANTERN [movie] Review
*SPOILER ALERT*
So, Green Lantern, was a lot of fun. Ryan Reynolds was hilarious as always, and surprisingly it wasn’t as annoying as I thought it would be. Blake Lively…well she didn’t really add anything to the movie…but she was nice eye-candy.
The CGI was horrible, and the explanation behind that is that roughly 2 months ago they weren’t even done production on the movie…the rush to get the movie out in time to be a “summer blockbuster” shows. In fact the whole movie is one of those you walk out of thinking “that felt rushed”.
Heroes: The GL Corps, really rad aliens with the best power ever! I liked the 3 “main” GL’s but it would’ve been nice to open it up and see a broader spectrum of the 3600 others *cough*sequel*cough*
Villains: Paralax and his minion, doctor what’s his name. The Doc felt too forced, like they added him in at the last minute. The all-powerful Paralax though…holy crap! Imagine Fantastic Four’s Galactus with the head of a demon!
After the Credits: When Sinestro finally puts on the Yellow-Fear ring, could have used some kind of struggle, but makes me look forward to the sequel far more than I looked forward to this movie.
Overall it’s a fun origins tale and a must see for comic fans as I feel it doesn’t stray as far off-story as most film adaptations.
DC’s answer to Marvels “Thor” movie, if you’re expecting a funny/entertaining film with cool alien powers coming from a ring…you won’t be disappointed.
Coffee & Multitasking v.75
1. THE NEW DC COMICS
For the first time in its 76 year run, DC Comics is revamping it’s main character/storylines for a new 21st Century era. Starting August 31 with Justice League #1 everyone from Superman to Aquaman will be getting new #1 issues…this is as huge as that time Marvel went bankrupt!!!

2. GIZMODO’s NEW ESSENTIAL APPS
Giz has come out with a new line of must-have apps for mobile devices…

Coffee & Multitasking v.55
1. Batman 3 Villains Revealed!!!
It’s probably old news already to fans and nerds alike, but Anne Hatheway and Tom Hardy have been signed up to play Catwoman and Bane. Personally very stoked, I LOVE both actors, and while I think Catwoman is a staple in the Batman universe, Bane…while cool…isn’t necessary. I just really hope we don’t see another teamup like “Batman & Robin”

Green Lantern [first trailer]
Oh. My. Geekness!!!
(sorry for the poor quality + subs)
Coffee & Multitasking v.39
Everyone’s freaking over the Batman 3 title!
Seriously, my dashboard is full of posts, geek sites are going crazy, forums are stacked…it’s nerd-pandaemonium! Nolan revealed two key things about his third and final Batman flick; it will be called The Dark Knight Rises, and it will NOT feature The Riddler. Personally I’m not a fan of the name, and I really wanted to see a revamped Riddler. Your thoughts?

Halo was almost an Apple game?
Turns out Apple was Bungie’s first choice, but Steve Jobs turned them down. Soon after he decided to take them up on the offer, only to find out Microsoft had stolen them away. Can you imagine a world where Halo wasn’t on the Xbox?

MySpace makes a comeback
News Corp. has announced that their revamping MySpace, the once king of social networks. Overall it looks great, and I’ll probably start paying more attention to it again (it was controlled my life haha) but there are certain aspects of the article that lead me to believe tycoons from California have no idea what’s happening outside of their state…

NEW SPIDER MAN ACTORS
I already showed you who is playing the new Peter Parker, which I still have no feelings about…

Emma Stone to play Mary Jane; I think this is a good choice.

Philip Seymour Hoffman might be Venom? I think this is ridiculous; first they screwed up by making him a scrawny/whiny/wimp, now their making the giant-alien-monster into an old, stocky, hairy man…dangit.

BATMAN BONUS
Edward Norton wants on Batman 3; After screwing up his chances to be Hulk in The Avengers movie, I don’t think he should get the chance…although it would be an amazing teamup (Norton, Nolan, Bale).
