I’m back! Oh my stars, that was a fun week. I don’t get to go on roadtrips that often, but when I do it’s always exactly what/when I need. AND the only other time I visited Ontario was by canoe…and the only spot of land I walked was the shore…so it was nice to head inland and see what the towns/cities were like.
Everything is laid out so nicely, it feels dense, much like British Columbia and nothing like Manitoba (haha). I love the old rustic feel of the 100yr old houses scattered everywhere! Mossy brick and creaky wood, rain, gardens, and endless trees! If it wasn’t for the insane roadway system and weather conditions I’d be in love.
The drive itself, one of the most important aspects of a ROADtrip, was definitely an interesting one…
1. NEW DINO DISCOVERED [NationalPost]
It’s being called a cross between a bird-porcupine-VAMPIRE…

3. ROMNEY vs BIG BIRD [Forbes.com]
Apparently during last night’s debate, he stated that if elected he would cut funding to things like PBS. Just another reason why he’s the best choice for a worse America.
4. GAMING NEWS
WoW IS STILL MMO KING [IGN.com]
With all the rumors that the game is dying out, Blizzard announced that thanks to MoP they are back to 10+ million users.
CLIFFY B LEAVS EPIC [IGN.com]
The face behind games like Gears Of War and Unreal Tournament is calling it quits :(
1. KONY CAMPAIGN CAUSES RIOT [AcholiTimes]
Invisible Children screened their viral video in the Ugandan town of Gulu…needless to say the locals weren’t fond of having their lives summed in that fashion. Many injured, one killed.
2. NO ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT FOR CANADA [NationalPost]
The 4th Season will not be available on Netflix to anyone outside of the US :( we’ll have to wait for the DVD…

1. ANONYMOUS ATTACKS GOVERNMENT AND MUSIC INDUSTRY
In retaliation to the media sharing site Megaupload being shut down, the hacker group “Anonymous” went on a tangent! Hacking, corrupting, and eventually shutting down the official sites of; the FBI, Motion Picture Association of America, Recording Industry Association of America, Universal Music, and the American Justice Department…WOW!
This is by far the largest attack the group has ever constructed, and they made their point very clear; “Largest attack ever, crippling government and music industry #megaupload”
They livestreamed everything [here]
2. 8yr OLD HARDCORE SONG
If you’re not sick of it yet (I’m getting there) a little girl named Juliet starred in what I’m calling 2012’s first viral video.
*phew* What a day! Seriously, I sat down with my morning coffee to checkout how SOPA was trending…5hrs later I’m part of a goldrush to find, post, retweet, and share any/all information. It was nice to learn with so many of you.
THEN we had another dudes night out to celebrate one last time with the College Crew before we all head our separate ways *sniff*.
I lost a few followers from my #sopastrike spam, but that’s okay. I take that as a sign that you choose to support internet censorship. In which case I don’t want you dirtying my feeds anyway.
NOW it’s 1AM and I’m chatting with a couple of SuicideGirls about possibly going for coffee during my trip to BC next week…which is a sentence I never thought I would type out :/ hahaha
PS. Chuck Norris doesn’t need a viable plot to make a movie enjoyable!
PPS. Oh and I tweaked the layout a lil bit :P
In 30mins I’ll be joining the STRIKE TO STOP SOPA (internet censorship bill).
I know it doesn’t mean much, coming from a tiny blog like mine. And the fact that I’m Canadian protesting an American act. But every person needs to help out in any way they can, even if it’s just spreading the word.
With companies like Google, Mozilla, WordPress, Minecraft, Wikipedia, and Reddit protesting by shutting down for the day you have to recognize that this is serious.
"The Internet Blacklist Legislation - known as PROTECT IP Act in the Senate and Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House - is a threatening sequel to last year’s COICA Internet censorship bill. Like its predecessor, this legislation invites Internet security risks, threatens online speech, and hampers Internet innovation."
Simply put; companies are still trying to stop our online freedom. If this happens sites like YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter will be shutdown!
Inform yourself, contact politicians in your area, spread the word! Every little bit helps!
[HERE] is a list of companies currently supporting this bill; sadly there are names like Apple, Microsoft, EA Games, and Adidas…names that should know better. Boycott some, contact others.
PS: If you’re Canadian and thinking “this has nothing to do with me” tell your ignorance to shut up and speak up now, before it’s too late to say anything!
